THE PROJECT

conservACTION project is a virtual space dedicated to highlighting the intersections of the creative arts and the environmental movement. this project aims to foster a global community full of passion and hope by providing free and accessible climate education resources to changemakers of all ages.

art is a unique catalyst for change. from visual media to performance to literature, art has the ability to inspire thought, evoke emotion, and ignite action. we can use this expressive potential to amplify our calls to action and messages of hope. whether you are an artist looking for a creative community, an individual looking to deepen your understanding of environmental science, an educator looking for innovative resources, or just someone who wants to take action and does not know where to start, this community is a space for YOU

one of my our core commitments is to ensure that climate education materials are accessible to everyone, regardless of age, background, or location. all of my resources will always be freely available online, and i am open to suggestions and help in making sure as many people as possible have access to the information they need to become informed advocates for our planet.

join the conservACTION community as we harness the power of creativity in the fight against climate change. together, we can transform awareness to action by bringing imagination into spaces of science and social justice!

i started conservACTION project in 2020, the summer before my junior year of high school. i wanted to combine my passion for art and dance with my desire to create a more sustainable future for our planet and all those who inhabit it.

i am now a university student in charleston, sc pursuing majors in marine biology and dance. when i'm not in class or dancing, i love taking photos, spending time in nature, and playing piano and alto saxophone.

conservACTION was created as a Roots and Shoots project, and it has grown and developed with me during my years on the RSYC through the guidance and resources through the program and the Jane Goodall Institute.

if you are a young person working on a project aiming to make a positive change for our planet or anyone that inhabits it, joining Roots and Shoots can help you bring your ideas to action and connect you with a community of young changemakers in your community and beyond!

Theme for 2024 // Regeneration

this year, i am focusing on revitalizing and reimagining the work that is already here– starting with the online collection in the first half of the year and then moving to reworking the healthy soil challenge. the HSC was already focused on regeneration, and this year, i wan't to lean into those themes of earth's natural "renaissances" from healthy soil and carbon sequestration to whale fall.
